Platform and processing of your data

This website and its booking platform are powered by Vwayaj LLC (16192 Coastal Hwy, Lewes, DE 19958, United States), publisher of the platform (Powered by Vwayaj.com). In this capacity, Vwayaj LLC appears on the financial documents issued in connection with the operation of the platform.

Customer data is processed and managed in Morocco by Vwayaj Services Africa SARL, a company incorporated under Moroccan law and the local representative of Vwayaj LLC. It acts as a processor, on behalf of the hotel and solely on its instructions, under a contract that binds it to the same security measures as the controller (Article 23 of Law No. 09-08). It makes no use of your data for its own purposes. This company’s legal details and the date of the processing contract are awaiting communication.

Declarations filed with the CNDP

We collect only the data strictly necessary for the purposes pursued. No data is requested “just in case”.

  • Booking a stay or a service: identity, contact details, dates, stated preferences, billing address. This data is essential to form and perform the contract.
  • Staying at the hotel: the identity document details that regulations require accommodation establishments to record on arrival.
  • Contact, group or event enquiries: identity, contact details, subject of the enquiry.
  • Newsletter: email address and the website language at the time of sign-up, so that we write to you in your language.
  • Job applications: the information you choose to provide.
  • Website audience measurement: browsing data, under the conditions described in the Cookies section.

Mandatory fields are marked as such on each form: without them, your request cannot be processed. The other fields are optional and leaving them blank does not prevent your request from being processed.

Your consent

Each form on this website collects your consent to the processing of your data (Article 4 of Law No. 09-08) through a checkbox that is never pre-ticked. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing termsandprivacy@belere-hotels.com.

Recipients

Your data is accessible only to the hotel departments that need it — front office, reservations, sales, accounting —, to Vwayaj Services Africa SARL and to the technical service providers listed below, strictly to the extent required for their tasks, and to administrative and judicial authorities where required by law. It is never sold, rented or transferred for commercial purposes.

Transfers outside Morocco

Hosting the website in the United States and sending emails from the European Union involve transferring your data outside Morocco. In accordance with Articles 43 and 44 of Law No. 09-08, these transfers are subject to authorisation by the CNDP; the authorisation number is given in the “Declarations filed with the CNDP” section.

Retention period

  • Newsletter: for as long as you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, only your email address is kept, marked “unsubscribed”, so that you no longer receive any mailing.

Security

Exchanges with this website are encrypted (HTTPS). In the hotel’s management tools, each user can access only the data required for their role.

In accordance with Article 5 of Law No. 09-08, please note that data transmitted over open networks such as the Internet may circulate without security guarantees and may be read and used by unauthorised third parties.

Your rights

  • Right of access (Article 7): to obtain, free of charge, confirmation that your data is being processed and a copy of that data.
  • Right of rectification (Article 8): to have inaccurate or incomplete data updated, corrected, erased or blocked, free of charge, within ten clear days.
  • Right to object (Article 9): to object, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of your data, and to object, free of charge, to its use for marketing purposes.

You can exercise these rights with the data controller by emailing termsandprivacy@belere-hotels.com, with proof of identity. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may refer the matter to the CNDP (www.cndp.ma).

If you reside in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation may also apply to your stay; you then have the rights it provides, including erasure and portability.

Marketing and newsletter

In accordance with Article 10 of Law No. 09-08, we send you offers by email only if you have given your prior consent, or if you are already our customer and the offer concerns similar services. Each mailing states the sender’s identity and includes an immediate, free unsubscribe link.

Cookies

Only cookies strictly necessary for the website to work are set without your consent: the “pll_language” cookie, which remembers your chosen language for 12 months, and the session cookies of the basket and booking. Audience measurement is provided by Jetpack Stats (Automattic Inc.), which counts page views in aggregate without setting any cookie on your device. No other cookie is set before your consent, and consent boxes are never pre-ticked.
